This is our story

1978

Bruno Slobbe and Angelo Panigada founded TM tranceria meccanica that will be the incipit for the Essedue constitution.

1986

Essedue Srl was founded in Cura Carpignano, in the Province of Pavia, producing slicers mainly for Italy.

1987

The market grows and Essedue exports to Spain, France, Portugal.

Years ‘90

Improvements are made to all production lines  introducing new technologies, equipment and CNC machines.

1992

Mario De Martini joins the company. He will become production manager and general manager.

Years 2000

The international market grows and Essedue brings its Italian meat slicers all over the world.

2005

Ellinor Cappa joins the company as export manager and she develops further relationships with foreign markets. She later becomes Chief Commercial Officer.

2005

The Cura Carpignano headquarters moved to today's 4500sqm production site.

2007

The production of new gear-driven slicers begins.

2012

The ATC 350 is born: the first slicer patented by Essedue.

2013

New and important OEM (original equipment manufacturer) projects start and become a stable part of production over time.

2014

Essedue is co-founder of the Made in Pavia Business Network, whose motto is "Stronger together".

 

2016

A new high-tech CNC machine is purchased.

1950

Rheninghaus from the Brancatelli family and Oberwerk from the Petrillo family was founded in Turin.

Both mainly produced flywheel slicers for Italy.

Years '60

Rheninghaus production is expanded with anodized aluminium slicers, meat mincers and bone saws while Oberwerk specializes in stainless steel slicers.

Rheninghaus begins an intense commercial activity towards foreign markets, bringing its products all over the world.

Years ‘70

These are the years of experimentation.

A unique slicer is born: Oberwerk vertical automatic in stainless steel, with thickness gauge in tempered glass and three-speed motor.

Rheninghaus begins the production of the clear slice exit slicers: Ministar, Mondial, Beta.

Years ‘80

The development of new solutions to ensure accident prevention and hygiene begins.

Oberwerk presents the most advanced evolution of the automatic slicer at the Milan exhibition.

Years ‘90

Rheninghaus and Oberwerk merge under the name of Rheninghaus, becoming a single reality led by Vittorio Petrillo and Marisa Filippa.

Rheninghaus holds the Secretariat of the European Working Group which elaborates the EN1974 standard.

The Prima slicer is born, a totally innovative project, which is chosen with others to represent Italian technology and design in a traveling exhibit that will also pass through the MoMA in New York.

A temporary production site is built in Buenos Aires to meet the massive demands of the South American markets.

Years 2000

Slicers for cutting bread, cheese, fish and frozen products are made.

Non-stick treatments are tested and will lead to the certification and use of QuanTanium.

SBR (Safe Blade Removal tool) is created, the system that makes the removal of the blade quick and safe during cleaning.

Mondial EVO production begins.

The Italian meat slicers manufacturer Rheninghaus distributes its products in over fifty countries.

Years 2010

The entire production of slicers is updated to the latest hygiene standards and NSF8 certification, the most demanding and restrictive, is obtained.
